MLC's control system for DC diesel-electric locomotives has greatly increased the quality level of such equipment while decreasing costs compared to similar international models, by employing standard algorithms and cutting-edge equipment. The MLC control system is currently operating on MAPNA Group’s MAP24 diesel-electric locomotives. This control system can also substitute the old systems of GT26 locomotives. The rehabilitation of ten GT26 locomotives has been assigned to MLC by the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways. This replacement provides significant benefits to companies that own GT26 locomotives, including the ability to upgrade and update old locomotives for a fraction of the cost of purchasing a new locomotive, eliminating the costs of servicing the old control system's equipment, and extending the lifecycle of locomotive engines, turbochargers, and traction engines, as well as improving the performance of the locomotive in terms of adhesion, traction and freight capacity.
