MAPNA Railbus 027 Navigates Tests with Success

Static and dynamics testing of Railbus 027 was successfully carried out by MAPNA Railway Operation Development & Maintenance Company this month.

The tests were carried out between Qorveh-Takestan stations.

The self-propelled Railbus 027 comprises four carriages each with a capacity of 84 individuals.

The railbus fleet are earmarked for suburban transportation. Currently, four railbuses are operating in the capital Tehran, as well as the cities of Tabriz, Gorgan and Andimeshk.

Other provincial centers are planned to receive railbus fleet in near future.

Railbus 027 will join Iran’s rail fleet after receiving permissions from Railways of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the official authority in charge of Iran’s rail transportation system.
