Tehran Metro Company opened two subway stations in Lines 6 and 7 on Thursday, June 17, as part of the plans to enhance the capital’s green means of transportation.
The Modafe’an-e Salamat (“health defenders”) Station, named as a tribute to Covid-19 first responders, in Line 7, and Shahrak-e Azmayesh in the western tail of Line 6 were inaugurated by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani via videoconference.
The ceremony was also attended by Tehran Mayor Pirouz Hanachi, Ali Emam, the head of Tehran Metro Company, and Reza Javaheri, the head of MAPNA Railway Construction and Development Company.
